How Technology is Changing the Healthcare Future

Healthcare Future

Many advances in healthcare technology have come in the past two decades. In this timeline we have seen a significant shift from conventional to digital healthcare and technological innovation has been at the forefront of change. The development of robotics and artificial intelligence has helped us move on with these advancements, and by moving forward there are no limits to what these advancements can do for our health care industry. We could not be more excited about where technology is heading to as we continue developing solutions that will improve upon treatments and cures. This article focuses on how technology will impact the future of healthcare technology.

Where Do Healthcare Technologies Go From Here?

We have moved toward an era where everything is digital or online. When you move to the world of healthcare, everything moves at a much faster pace. These new technologies are changing the landscape and creating new growth opportunities.

With advancements like Artificial Intelligence, biometrics (like facial recognition), predictive analytics, machine learning, robotics to many other innovations. There’s so much potential in each area and people just need time to think it through before they make decisions on adopting a solution. They need to understand what will be coming into their lives; what will be available to them, and how they want to use it in order to stay healthy and happy.

What Will Be A Game Changer On The horizon?

There are three main sectors of Health Care Technology today: Medical Devices, Telehealth & Behavioral Health, and Personalized Medicine. Each of these areas has something different that they cater to and can contribute to the overall health of society. Some devices are specifically designed for medical purposes. Others are used to provide preventive care. And yet others are used all over the world to monitor patient behavior. But how will these types impact traditional healthcare as we know it?

The Medication Business Segment will grow rapidly throughout 2020. With rapid and consistent advancements in various fields of medicine, medication companies were able to develop products that were useful and safe for the treatment of many different diseases. As technology evolved, it became a very popular topic when looking to find new ways to treat chronic conditions, especially cancer or heart disease. Drug companies saw an increased demand for personalized medicine. In particular, we are seeing a growing trend towards “personalized immunizations”, which are based off of a person’s genetic information, to fight infectious diseases.

Biometric, Facial Recognition, Robotics & AI Companies & Services

As we look at consumer behaviors and trends, Biometric companies and other small businesses see a huge opportunity to create great user experiences for consumers. It’s exciting to see people being more aware than ever about their physical health. Biometric companies, such as Apple Pay and Amazon have brought in a lot of awareness to consumers. Consumers want technology that allows them flexibility as to what type of payment to use and how to pay in-store without sacrificing convenience. Having this information and knowledge is now readily available in real-time allows users to decide if they want the service or not in the moment. This gives them the ability to save money through their subscription instead of waiting to receive a delivery.

Facial recognition, a technology that uses patterns of skin color, has become quite common as a method to identify whether someone is healthy or unhealthy. If you want a better understanding of your personal fitness, you may want to consider adding this technology to your health tracking software. You can also opt-in to allow their tech to alert you whenever you’re out of shape. Another example is the Samsung Galaxy S9. Even though it could be seen as futuristic, it offers a number of features that include biometric scanner for fingerprint scanning and face unlock. Not only does it work but it feels like a whole lot easier than using just a regular phone!

The Rise Of Virtual Reality

VR has quickly become one of the most popular platforms today, however it is still mostly limited to video games and movies. VR is getting wider exposure to consumers, thanks to the creation of headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Now, even virtual reality is becoming very easy to access. Within few months now, VR content has gone beyond gaming through Netflix and HBO.

While streaming has made the medium more accessible we also have the rising market for game studios. Games like Pokémon GO, Marvel’s Spiderman, Assassin Creed series, etc. has proven that VR has become more mainstream.

The Internet of Things Will Take Over More Than Just Our Spaces

The internet of things (IoT) will bring about a vast array of devices across all levels of human activity such as transportation, manufacturing, public space, security and more. All this will be enhanced with advanced monitoring, security systems, smart home integration, data analysis, and communication. That way, devices will be able to gather and analyze the information to determine the state, condition and location of the environment and all objects within it. It’s almost like the connected city will take over the physical place in its entirety. IoT will be the next BIG thing in healthcare technology. How’s it going to affect everything we do? What can we expect from it? How can we collect, store and analyze the information to keep track of our health and wellness?

All of these questions are answered with the increasing adoption of mobile devices, IoT technology, sensor nodes, and more. The rise of smart cities will lead to massive improvements in infrastructure. Along with new business models and partnerships between various organizations. IoT devices and sensors are here to stay just because so many people have a hard time staying focused on any task. Let’s hope with this boom of technological advancements, this will be a major disruption to many industries in the next decade.
